Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the GI Medical Oncology Clinic at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. This full-time APP will provide outpatient care for GI cancers, coordinating with physicians, nursing and the oncology team.

Responsibilities include follow-up care, toxicity assessment, treatment clearance for infusion, and symptom management in ambulatory medical oncology with ~10–12 patients per day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year oncology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) required; GI Oncology experience preferred.
• Master's degree in PA or APRN with Texas licensure and prescriptive authority; ARC-PA accredited PA program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
• Develops and evaluates patient care plans using lab and imaging results.
• Provides management, referrals, counseling and education to patients and families.
