Job summary
Beacon Behavioral Partners is seeking a Full-Time Floating Registered Nurse to cover Lacombe Inpatient, Lutcher Inpatient, and New Orleans East Inpatient locations. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care across departments, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
The role requires strong psychiatric nursing knowledge, a Louisiana RN license, and hospital experience.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Louisiana.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) with 1 year in mental health or supervised psychiatric nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Clinical experience in a hospital/acute care setting.
- Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing and medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to update care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulations.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients during hospitalization.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
