Beacon Behavioral Partners is seeking a Full-Time Floating Registered Nurse to cover Lacombe Inpatient, Lutcher Inpatient, and New Orleans East Inpatient locations. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care across departments, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires strong psychiatric nursing knowledge, a Louisiana RN license, and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) with 1 year in mental health or supervised psychiatric nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Clinical experience in a hospital/acute care setting.
• Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge care.

Full-Time Floating Registered Nurse to cover our following Inpatient locations: Days 7AM - 7PM, Lacombe Inpatient, Lutcher Inpatient and New Orleans East Inpatient.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in an inpatient hospital setting, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across various departments. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust individualized care plans. This role demands vigilance in monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and providing education to patients and their families about health management. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the hospital’s mission of providing compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse patient populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor's degree in nursing) with 1 year of providing nursing care to the mentally ill OR receive regular documented supervision/consultation from Master' prepared psychiatric nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Strong understanding of Psychiatric nursing principles, patient care standards, and medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environments.
