Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian - Inpatient at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This per diem position supports inpatient nutrition care across nursing units, screen patients, assess status, and provide education to patients and families.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Nutrition, is registered with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, and can obtain order-writing privileges within six months. Must be vaccinated for influenza and COVID-19 or have an exemption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
• Must obtain order writing privileges within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Proof of application for state licensure required prior to hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption.

Responsibilities

• Direct nutritional care for inpatients across assigned units.
• Screen patients for nutritional risks and assess status.
• Provide teaching to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.
