Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Dayton, OH seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program as CAP 1. You will provide and coordinate care, assess patients, plan interventions, document in medical records, and support education for patients and families within dialysis settings.

Work in a team-based hospital/outpatient environment with on-call requirements; CAP progression is earned by completing program requirements.

Qualifications

RN with 0–2 years nephrology nursing experience
Minimum 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse
6 months acute dialysis experience (preferred)
Hemodialysis and/or ICU experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and guidance.
Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after treatment; documents in the chart.
Assesses and educates patients/families about learning needs.
Directs safe, effective care for dialysis treatments as prescribed.
Coordinates communication with dialysis providers and facility staff.
