Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Ohio seeks an entry-level RN CAP1 to join our Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients, perform assessments, and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current state RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and willingness to work in a fast-paced health care setting, with travel between facilities and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Minimum 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse, 12 months preferred.
• 6 months acute dialysis experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis and/or ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and with guidance from educator, preceptor, or collaborating RN.
• Collects and analyzes patient data pre-, during-, and post-treatment and documents in medical records.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and treatment plans.
• Coordinates communication with dialysis providers and facility staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Administers medications and monitors patient responses; responds to emergencies as needed.
