Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a MID REVENUE CYCLE INPATIENT FACILITY CODING EDUCATOR to initiate, execute, and manage clinical documentation and coding reviews for inpatient and oncology care. The role supports compliance reviews, education, and timely problem resolution.

Responsibilities include creating training schedules for new hires, deploying coding policies, and ensuring data integrity to optimize reimbursement. Strong communication and training experience required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus six (6) years of experience with inpatient coding.
• Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience with inpatient coding.
• Expert of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS; knowledge of CMS guidelines and NCHS.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, executes, and manages clinical documentation and coding reviews/audits for inpatient services and oncology care.
• Provides on-site support, training, and education; develops action plans and monitors implementation.
• Develops education and training schedules for new hires in HIM for approval by Sr Coding Educator.
• Supports documentation deployment to providers and inpatient coders to ensure accurate reimbursement and data integrity.
• Assists in developing coding policies, standards, and best practice models.
