Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL seeks a MID REVENUE CYCLE INPATIENT FACILITY CODING EDUCATOR to lead clinical documentation audits and coding compliance for inpatient care. You will deliver on-site training, develop education schedules for new hires, and support the deployment of coding policies to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site education and training for inpatient coders.
• Develops education plans for new HIM hires and monitors implementation.
• Supports policy deployment and ensures data integrity for reimbursement.

Supports compliance monitoring and auditing regarding ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS code sets to inpatient coders.Provides related on-site support; training and education; application of tools and resources; and action plan development with follow-up to monitor implementation and timely problem resolution. Provides support for the development, deployment and monitoring of documentation to providers, to inpatient coders. Creates the education and training schedule for new hires in HIM and presented to the Mid Revenue Cycle Inpatient Facility Sr Coding Educator for approval. Supports and deploys coding policies and procedures, standards, best practice models, and educational materials to inpatient coders for complete, accurate, consistent, documentation and coding that results in appropriate reimbursement, and data integrity.
