Job summary

Qualifications include CCS/CIC/CDIP or equivalent, 2+ years in inpatient coding audits, and proficiency in Excel/Office; strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Current permanent United States work authorization.
• 2+ years previous experience as an inpatient coding auditor.
• 3+ years previous experience in coding inpatient hospital accounts.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint).
• Analytical skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes; capable of collaborating with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Audit inpatient coders and offshore auditors to ensure DRG accuracy of 95% or higher.
• Perform quality checks on coded visits per client SOPs.
• Conduct calibration audits and coordinate sessions with offshore team counterparts.
• Assist in preparing audit reports and provide feedback to coders and auditors.
• Review documentation to support coding decisions and reduce denials.
