Job summary

The University of Toledo Medical Center seeks a Clinical Pharmacist Float to deliver high-level clinical services across inpatient settings, supporting optimal patient care for specific populations. They will mentor students, residents, and staff, and help implement policies and staff development programs.

Responsibilities include precepting, coordinating daily clinical services, and contributing to departmental operations while maintaining flexibility for Med Rounds and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Formal clinical training via PGY1/PGY2 residency, fellowship, or 3 years of clinical practice preferred.
• Registered to practice pharmacy in Ohio or eligible for licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Flexible schedule for Med Rounds and department needs.
• Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or specialty within 2 years of hire.
• ASHP preceptor qualifications within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level clinical services to ensure optimal patient care for inpatient populations.
• Precept, mentor and educate students, residents, pharmacists and other health care professionals.
• Assist in core pharmacy services and in department management; coordinate daily clinical pharmacy services.
