AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a pharmacist to educate patients and care teams on safe medication use. You will manage therapy, participate in stewardship and optimize clinical decisions across central and satellite pharmacies.

The role involves supervising technicians and residents, reporting safety events, and contributing to quality improvement while ensuring accurate dispensing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• PharmD degree and licensure preferred/required by location.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team on medication use.
• Provide safe, timely, and cost-effective medication therapy and participate in safety programs.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacists, technicians, interns, students, and residents.
• Identify, report, and resolve medication safety events and adverse drug reactions.
• Engage in rounds and ensure smooth transitions of care from admission to discharge.
• Review orders and monitor pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments.
