Job description

CareMind Health is a captive clinical services entity of Mindoula Health, Inc., and a national provider of virtual psychiatry and comprehensive behavioral health care services. As a patient-centered organization, we are focused on supporting people with their mental health. We create access to convenient, high quality services delivered by compassionate and skilled clinicians. Our goal is to provide our clients with an exceptional experience that improves overall well-being, and restores the foundations of healthy living. We customize and scale these services to provide comprehensive behavioral health solutions for hospitals and other healthcare partners throughout the country. With expertise across the care continuum, we can not only fix pain points that many of our partners encounter - such as provider coverage gaps and ED throughput delays - but also solve complex problems that will improve patient experience, drive outcomes, and lower total cost of care.

We launched Mindoula because each of us had personal experience with mental illness, either directly or through a loved one. We realized that the behavioral health system was broken and decided to take it upon ourselves to fix it by focusing on the people we serve, not their diagnoses or symptom sets. Each of us, and everyone we serve, is a person first and a set of challenges second.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong clinical operational experience, and thrive in a high-growth environment. They will roll up their sleeves, hire, train and support clinicians, partnering with a cross-functional team, as we grow both our inpatient and outpatient practices.

  • Partner with CareMind leadership to interview and recruit new APPs to the practice for inpatient roles.
  • Partner with the provider credentialing team to ensure new providers are ready for their projected start date with all required EMR access and training completed.
  • Submit required paperwork to kick-off new provider credentialing (CAARFs), and submit off-boarding paperwork for providers exiting the practice.
  • Schedule and lead onboarding for new providers to all clinical sites, developing and refining training as needed to meet the needs of each part of the business and for each role.
  • Train, coach, and ensure CareMind clinical team members understand established protocols to ensure positive clinical outcomes and operational excellence.
  • Create MD and APP staff schedules for all inpatient programs to be released at least 90-days in advance and work with the payroll team to ensure providers are paid accurately.
  • Manage provider PTO including review, approval and tracking for inpatient provider teams.
  • Manage Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (“FPPE”) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (“OPPE”) processes for providers, including serving as proctor for reviews for APPs.
  • In partnership with CareMind leadership, develop, manage, and ensure performance against practice outcome measures for CareMind overall and as required in specific contracts (e.g., including measure based care with PROMs).
  • Coordinate with team members on new program and service rollouts to ensure timelines, deliverables, and communications are on track.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate monitoring and reporting on inpatient quality and performance, while supporting compliance with hospital service agreements and CareMind policies and procedures.
  • Partner with colleagues, draft policies pertinent to provider operations to improve outcomes and increase efficiency of the CareMind practice.
