Job summary

3HC Home Health and Hospice is seeking an Inpatient Facility Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support within Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC. The role follows a care plan under clinical supervision and requires CNA certification and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, feeding, ROM, vitals, and documentation in EMR. The position covers full-time shifts, including holidays, and emphasizes compassionate patient care in a team

Qualifications

• Listed as a CNA with DHSR, evidenced by successfully completed training and has not had a lapse of 24 consecutive months where the aid has not provided services for compensation
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Must be physically competent to perform delegated tasks necessary to good patient care and as indicated inpatient's plan of care
• Certified Nursing Assistant II currently listed with the North Carolina Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Abides by and supports 3HC's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
• Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers in all contact with staff, patients, and visitors.
• NA I: Administers personal care and hygiene per care plan, assists in feeding, and assists with ROM and transfers.
• NA II: Administers more complex care including wound care, catheterization, ostomy care, suctioning, and IV fluids management.
• Acts as a facilities preceptor for new employees, teaching procedures and documenting in EMR.
• Immediately reports and records changes in patient condition to supervisor to prevent adverse events.
• Demonstrates proficient PPE use and complete shift documentation in EMR.
• Performs housekeeping tasks and maintains patient room and linens.
• Works assigned shifts and holidays; uses Hoyer lift for bariatric patients.
• Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional growth and cost-effective resource use.
