Job summary

Qualifications

• NP is a licensed provider responsible for assessment and management of diverse patient populations.
• Master's degree in Nursing is required for this role.
• Inpatient cardiology experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary clinical responding provider for inpatient cardiology patients.
• Perform histories and physical examinations.
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans with cardiologists and hospitalists.
• Order labs, imaging, and diagnostics; interpret results.
• Prescribe and manage medications per guidelines.
• Coordinate consultations, referrals, and procedural care.
• Monitor patient progress and manage care transitions and discharge planning.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR and maintain quality records.
• Collaborate with nursing, pharmacists, case managers and services to optimize outcomes.
