Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology team for comprehensive inpatient coverage in a growing cardiovascular program.

The position supports inpatient coverage from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts and a weekend rotation roughly every four weeks. Collaboration with four APPs across inpatient and outpatient settings is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Nursing required.
• 2 years of licensed NP experience; 1-2 years required.
• Cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to designated patient populations in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops plans of care and follow-up based on findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies.
