Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with at least 1 year of healthcare/customer service/collections experience.
• Ability to read and understand explanations of benefits (EOB).
• Strong understanding of how medical claims are paid and processed.
• Excellent teamwork and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones for the Inpatient Business Office and assist walk-in patients with billing questions.
• Maintain IP Billing email box and respond to questions in a timely manner.
• Process returned mail and contact patients/clinics regarding demographic billing rejections.
• Assist IP BO Clerk as needed and compile/send Bad Debt reports to third party agencies.
