Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health seeks a Behavioral Health Worker for the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit on a per diem basis. This 18-bed unit provides acute care for adults with psychiatric disorders and requires collaboration with RNs and leadership to support safe patient care.

You will assess patient needs during psychoeducation and group activities, manage milieu, use data to improve quality, and monitor changes across the unit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in psychology, social science, or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area or in progress preferred.
• Three or more years of behavioral health experience may substitute for the minimum degree.
• Prior inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and identifies patients’ needs during therapeutic psychoeducation, leisure and recreation group activities.
• Milieu Management.
• Utilizes data to improve quality and provide safe patient environment.
• Monitoring changes in patients across unit.
