Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a behavioral health clinician to support an interdisciplinary team on inpatient units. The role involves counseling individuals, groups, and families, along with discharge planning and coordination with the treatment team.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling and possess LCPC or LCSW licensure with CPI training within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within applicable regulation.
• CPI Training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family counseling to assist patients/families in achieving treatment goals.
• Provides individual counseling to patients as stipulated on the treatment plan.
• Facilitates a minimum of one regularly scheduled group therapy per week.
• Assures that families are involved in treatment a minimum of two times per week.
• Provides family counseling as stipulated on the treatment plan (adult/geriatric unit).
• Interventions reflect knowledge of age-appropriate behaviors and group dynamics.
• Uses cognitive behavioral therapy and brief therapies as appropriate.
• Completes initial and ongoing assessments and documents them in the care path.
