Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a willing caregiver to provide physical and psychological care under an RN's supervision in an acute inpatient unit. This PRN role involves rotating days/evenings/nights and weekend shifts to support a busy behavioral health program.

You will work with adults and their families, contribute to safety protocols, and participate in interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, health or related field or
• Associate's Behavioral Health degree as required or preferred
• 1-3 years related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Works with individual patients in 1-on-1 or group settings per nursing plan
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary team meetings and patient behavior updates
• Implements suicide precautions as needed
• Assesses changes in patient condition and notifies supervising RN
• Assists with activities of daily living and vital signs as needed
• Maintains accurate nursing records in the EMR
• Supports development of therapeutic activities with Programming Committee
• Ensures safety and welfare of all participants and families
