Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts in the Adult B Unit. You will provide comprehensive nursing care across rotating days/evenings/nights and weekends, with a focus on patient-centered outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, coordinating with the care team, educating patients and families, documenting care, and maintaining a safe environment in a 28-bed unit that supports growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicating the nursing care plan to the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories and documenting patient status.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, medications, and self-care skills.
• Evaluates patient care by adhering to standards and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean care environment and adheres to policies; reports concerns.
