Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a dedicated professional to provide physical and psychological care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will contribute to patient care plans, monitor conditions, and document in the EMR with a focus on safety and compassionate support.

The role emphasizes 1-on-1 and group patient interactions, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and participation in treatment planning and program development within a dynamic behavioral

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential nursing functions and communicate effectively.
• Visual acuity adequate for position duties.
• Ability to work with others and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual patients in a 1-on-1 setting or in a group setting aligned with the nursing care needs and inter-disciplinary plan.
• Participates in daily inter-disciplinary treatment team meetings, providing input on patient behaviors and interactions.
• Implements suicide precautions as needed.
• Assesses changes in patient condition and notifies RN.
• Maintains accurate EMR records and documents promptly.
• Assists with daily living activities and therapeutic activities as needed.
