Responsibilities

• Member of the Mental Health Team; supports patients, families, nurses and clinicians in care delivery.
• Gives timely handoffs to licensed nurses and documents observations in the EMR.
• Maintains patient safety with safety checks, rounds, and fall-prevention measures.
• Uses de-escalation and follows Restraint Policy when handling restrained patients.
• Leads and co-leads group activities; helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Follows treatment plans and HIPAA, health, and safety protocols.
