Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a part-time Night Shift Nurse Assistant to support a Mental Health unit. The role involves direct patient care, documentation, safety checks, and active collaboration with the RN and multidisciplinary team.

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Experience providing direct patient care or support.
• Effective interpersonal skills with patients, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the mental health team on inpatient/outpatient units.
• Provides direct patient care including planning, documentation and milieu safety.
• Performs safety checks and de-escalation techniques as directed.
• Maintains patient care charts and medical records as instructed.
• Assists RN with assignments and emergency interventions as needed.
