Oceans Behavioral Hospital Lufkin is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to assist nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic milieu for adults and seniors dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

You will perform vital signs, assist with daily activities, document observations, and help with mobility under supervision, ensuring safety and adherence to Joint Commission and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor unit rules and patient behavior, ensuring safety and therapeutic milieu.
• Demonstrate de-escalation and supportive interventions as needed.
• Inventory patient belongings and secure contraband; conduct unit safety checks.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control policies; attend required in-services.
