The Psychiatric Institute of Washington is seeking a MHT Supervisor to join our Nursing Administration team. You will lead Mental Health Technicians, maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, and support daily inpatient psychiatric operations.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of inpatient psychiatric experience.
• CPR/BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of PTSD and other psychiatric conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with patient admissions, observations, and documentation.
• Ability to mentor staff and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Aufgaben

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to Mental Health Technicians.
• Oversee the therapeutic milieu and ensure schedules and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary team members.
• Respond to behavioral emergencies and implement de-escalation techniques.
• Model trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic communication.
• Support patient admissions, orientation, observations, and documentation as delegated by the RN.
• Assist with staff onboarding, training, and development of group activities.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and infection prevention practices.
