Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane is seeking an experienced RN to provide supervision and direct treatment on an inpatient unit for adults with serious mental health disorders. You will monitor vitals, administer medications, perform nursing assessments and document patient responses.

This 0.8 FTE charge nurse role covers Fri 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, Sat 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, Sun 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with added shift differential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Washington at the time of hire.
• Active BLS certification within 90 days of hire and must maintain active BLS.
• Preferred: 1-2 years' experience in a Psychiatric setting; inpatient experience is a plus.
• Experience as a charge nurse/unit lead is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct onsite supervision of all staff on assigned shifts.
• Direct and coordinate staff assignments for admits/discharges and patient care.
• Lead emergency response efforts and coordinate with management.
• Provide training and supervision to staff on shift per unit policies.
• Maintain thorough documentation and reporting of patient conditions.
