Job summary

Fairview Range is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Assistant (UA) for our inpatient Behavioral Health department in Hibbing, MN. The role supports direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse; performs clerical duties and assists with unit maintenance.

Part-time schedule: 40-56 hours per two weeks with 8-hour rotating day, evening, and night shifts. Weekends undesignated. Internal posting through 8/7/26.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• BLS within 180 Days.
• BCS within 90 Days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks of patients through visual observation and documentation.
• Conduct room, belonging, and unit searches.
• Assist with management of patient interactions with treatment team collaboration.
• Perform basic patient daily living routines, unit order, and procedures according to treatment plan.
• Assist with admission and discharge duties, including inventory and storing of belongings.
• Respond to emergency situations as trained per policy.
• 1:1 observation of patients as needed.
• Assist in obtaining information from the patient about their care needs.
• Identify and promptly report changes in patient's condition.
• Record vital signs and weight.
• Set up and monitor meals.
• Participate in crisis intervention.
• Participate in groups for patients as able.

Skills

Age 18+

Basic Life Support (BLS)

BCS within 90 days

Education

High School diploma or GED

Nursing Assistant program graduate

CNA certification
