Job summary

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to facilitate the intake of inpatient referrals and manage the biographical and financial data required for admission.

You will ensure accurate information is available for the interdisciplinary team and coordinate admissions and registrations in Cerner, supporting liaisons to optimize patient access and census development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in a related field or equivalent certification or experience.
• Current Indiana license or certification if incumbent is clinical.
• Rehabilitation or healthcare admissions experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification, registration, scheduling, and patient access.
• Strong clinical background or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with all Admissions office tasks to facilitate intake of referrals.
• Arrange suitable admission accommodations based on medical needs.
• Support Clinical Liaisons for referral follow-up and census development.
• Communicate inpatient information to the physiatrist to facilitate admission.
• Ensure documentation uploaded into Cerner before admission.
• Other duties as assigned.
