Job summary

Pembroke Hospital is hiring an Activity Therapist for its inpatient behavioral health unit. The full-time role includes a weekend day requirement and a schedule typically running Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.

The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and supports expressive arts therapy, psychoeducation groups, and recreational activities as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent certification in expressive, music, art, recreation, or physical therapy.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreational or expressive therapy with CTRS/MT-BC/ATR-BC or another certified expressive therapist modality.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on inpatient psychiatric units.
• Complete group documentation and coordinate with the treatment team.
• Provide education to staff to support effective group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
