Qualifications

• Master's Degree in related field and working toward or has already obtained a certification in the fields of expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
• Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy and one of the following certifications: CTRS, MT-BC, ATR-BC, or other Certified Expressive Therapist modality

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on the inpatient psychiatric units.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings.
• Provide education to Mental Health Associates through both formal and informal means to ensure effective and appropriate therapeutic group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
