Pembroke Hospital, a 120-bed inpatient behavioral health facility south of Boston, is hiring for an Activity Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with a weekend day requirement. The schedule is typically Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in related field and working toward or has already obtained a certification in expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
• Bachelor's degree in recreational or expressive therapy with CTRS, MT-BC, ATR-BC, or other Certified Expressive Therapist modality.

Responsabilités

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on the inpatient psychiatric units.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings.
• Provide education to Mental Health Associates through both formal and informal means to ensure effective and appropriate therapeutic group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
