Job summary

ChenMed in Miami, FL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. You will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images, explain procedures to patients, and support physicians with accurate findings.

This role covers echocardiography, vascular and general ultrasound, with responsibilities for equipment care, timely reporting, and strict adherence to patient safety and record-keeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic procedures applying prescribed and proper methods of ultrasound techniques.
• Generates diagnostic imaging using two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler.
• Selects proper transducer and adjusts equipment for diagnostic testing.
• Explains the procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
• Keys test data and patient information into computer to maintain records.
• Generates detailed preliminary reports of findings.
• Communicates STAT findings as detailed in organizational processes.
• Consents patients as needed and ensures documents are transferred to patient’s medical records.
• Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies and/or invasive procedures.
• Maintains equipment according to manufacturer’s requirements and industry standards.
