Job summary

IES Residential Inc is seeking an HVAC Designer to support residential design and estimating using AutoCAD, Right Suite Universal, and other tools. You will perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and documentation while ensuring code compliance across diverse US locations.

Collaboration with builders, engineers, and field teams is essential to deliver constructible HVAC solutions. You will contribute to energy-efficient design strategies, assist in bidding, and maintain accurate project

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Prepare and update residential HVAC designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Right Suite Universal.
Perform heating and cooling load calculations for projects across the continental United States.
Size and select HVAC equipment per ACCA Manual S.
Review plans and determine design and estimating requirements.
Ensure designs comply with codes and company standards.
Coordinate with builders, engineers, field teams, and other disciplines to integrate systems.
Utilize clash detection processes to identify design coordination concerns.
Prepare and maintain design calculations, equipment schedules, and project documentation.
Incorporate energy-efficient solutions and support duct testing targets.
Assist with bidding and estimating activities and takeoffs.
