Job summary

Peli BioThermal in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Product Development Engineer I to help design, test, and refine temperature-controlled packaging solutions. You will work alongside experienced engineers on new product development from concept through production, utilizing CAD, engineering analysis, and lab testing to bring products to life.

Qualifications include a engineering degree (or related field with 3+ years of experience), SolidWorks proficiency, and experience with heat transfer

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of engineering experience.
Basic understanding of heat transfer principles and energy balance calculations.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD program.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and test temperature-controlled packaging solutions from concept to production.
Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks.
Apply DFM/DFA principles and perform tolerance analysis to improve designs.
Perform thermal and structural analyses and design experiments under guidance.
Develop test protocols, conduct lab testing and analyze results.
Build and evaluate prototypes to support development and validation.
Prepare engineering reports, validation docs, ECRs and BOMs.
Support DFMEA, V&V activities and cross-functional collaboration.
Provide technical support for customer projects, including occasional site visits.
