Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation in Hobart, IN seeks a Product Development - Controls Engineer II to develop control systems for conveyors, sortation, automated storage, order fulfilment, and robotics. You’ll create specifications, layout drawings, control schematics, and PLC logic, working with the team to meet product requirements and innovate standard offerings.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of experience, with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Experience with sortation, conveyance equipment or robotics design required.
Experience with Allen Bradley control software and tools required.
Knowledge of electrical and safety codes for machine and equipment design including risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Concept, design, develop and engineer products that add value and meet customer and market needs.
Collaborate with development team to advance product designs.
Ensure products fit current and future manufacturing operations.
Develop control panel schematics and specifications.
Develop PLC programs and maintain project schedules and cost estimates.
Perform prototype development, testing and on-site beta testing for safety and reliability.
