Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Product Development Engineering Co-op in Hodges, SC. You will design, test, and validate busway products under mentorship, participating in pre-launch research through manufacturing launch.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, BOM creation, ECOs, and DFMA assessments, with exposure to regulatory certifications and safety practices. Collaboration across engineering, operations, and supply chain is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• GPA of 2.8 or higher (no rounding).
• Must relocate to Hodges, SC for the co-op; relocation assistance may be available.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD modeling, design specs, BOM, ECO creation, and design validation.
• Design parts/assemblies including sheet metal, plastics, mechanisms, wiring, and packaging.
• Contribute to new product development and DFMA assessments.
• Support ProLaunch planning, VOC research, and cross‑functional teams.
• Assist in test setups, data entry, and witness tests for certifications.
• Ensure safety standards and adherence to project schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, managers, and manufacturing for improvements.
