Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Engineering Systems and Continuous Improvement co-op in Arden, NC and Greenwood, SC to gain hands-on experience across engineering systems support, design automation, and process improvement.

During Spring, Summer, and Fall rotations, you'll analyze data, document issues, lead improvement initiatives, and present a capstone project with measurable outcomes. This program builds future engineering talent and enhances productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Completion of foundational university coursework appropriate to the student's degree program.
• Ability to complete the full three-term co-op (Spring, Summer, Fall).
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher; eligible for student hiring.
• Willingness to travel to Eaton facilities as required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ticketing data, support issue documentation and resolution.
• Identify recurring system problems and assist with automation opportunities.
• Evaluate engineering processes and support capstone project development.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, IT, manufacturing and product-line stakeholders.
• Document current processes, perform root-cause analysis, and propose improvements.
• Develop training materials, SOPs, dashboards, and technical documentation.
• Manage assignments and present recommendations to engineering leadership.
• Develop and execute an end-to-end capstone project delivering measurable results.
