Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status.
• Reviews medical history and conducts sensory, muscle, and ROM tests.
• Determines suitability for treatments and applies modalities.
• Monitors pain levels and educates patients on pain management.
• Establishes therapy goals and creates a treatment plan.
• Educates patients and families on exercises and equipment use.
• Participates in discharge planning and home program development.
• Documents evaluations and progress for physicians and insurers.
• Orders devices to assist activity as needed.
• May contribute to department education and research projects.
