Job summary

Berkley Medical Management Solutions (BMMS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to contribute to end-to-end software development life cycle, building robust systems for Berkley’s insurance operations.

You will work on backend, frontend and database layers, implement RESTful APIs, and collaborate with teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software while embracing Agile practices and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a .NET Developer (.NET Framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET)
• Experience building full stack (backend, frontend and database) web-based applications
• Knowledge of .NET, C# and JavaScript
• Experience with HTML5, Angular, Node, React, RabbitMQ, MS SQL, SignalR, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
• Experience with .NET Core, APIs (REST & GraphQL), Microservices, Windows services, Event-Driven design, Async processing, Multi-Threading and Cloud
• Database management with SQL Server or MySQL
• API development using RESTful Web API
• Understanding of software design principles and Agile/Scrum
• Experience with cloud integration (Azure or AWS)
• Familiarity with middleware like RabbitMQ, Kafka
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Participates in requirements analysis and stays up-to-date with new tools and technologies
• Collaborates with internal teams to design software architecture and documentation
• Write clean, scalable code using C#, .NET and JavaScript
• Develop and integrate APIs for data exchange between components
• Refactor and debug code; participate in code reviews and best practices
• Enhance existing software and provide technical support
• Create documentation across the SDLC
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, clients and departments
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
