Huron Valley Schools is seeking a middle school resource room teacher to support students with IEPs. The role requires collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff to deliver tailored instruction and interventions.

The candidate must have a Michigan SPED certificate, be highly qualified under ESSA guidelines, and be prepared to monitor and report progress quarterly while maintaining compliant logs and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
• Must meet the ESSA Highly Qualified standard or be recommended for a certificate/endorsement.
• Ability to meet IEP goals and communicate progress quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Provide Specially Designed Instruction to students with an IEP.
• Communicate in writing and verbally with students, staff and families.
• Progress monitor IEP goals and report data quarterly to families.
• Complete service and accommodation logs for each caseload student.
• Lead and write IEPs and MDRs in compliance with federal/state guidance.
• Collaborate with SPED and general education staff and paraeducators.
• Attend building and department meetings; engage in ongoing learning.
• Sign Medicaid Consent and perform Medicaid billing monthly.
• Attend Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training as needed.
