Job summary

Huron Valley Schools is seeking an Elementary Resource Room Teacher at Spring Mills Elementary. This role requires collaboration, strong communication, and skills to meet students’ academic and behavioral needs under an IEP framework.

Responsibilities include designing instruction, monitoring IEP goals, and documenting data. Eligible candidates hold a Michigan teaching certificate with SPED endorsement, and a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
• Endorsement ZG Elementary K-5 is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
• Highly Qualified status under ESSA or certificate endorsement via approved program.

Responsibilities

• Provide Specially Designed Instruction to students with IEPs.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with students, staff, and families.
• Progress monitor IEP goals and report data quarterly to families.
• Maintain service and accommodation logs for each caseload student.
• Lead and write IEPs and MDRs in compliance with federal/state/district guidance.
• Collaborate with special and general education staff and paraeducators.
• Attend meetings and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Willingness to attend Medicaid billing and related training when required.
