Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Michigan teaching certification; specialization in special education is preferred and essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in special education is preferred.
• Special Education Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload.
• Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to each student’s goals and needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support middle school students.
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents regularly.
• Chair IEPT meetings and advocate for students on caseload.
• Maintain accurate student records and prepare timely reports.
