Job summary

CONMED Corporation in Denver, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join the Advanced Surgical R&D team. You will contribute to new product development for minimally invasive surgical technologies, ensuring designs are manufacturable, compliant, and reliable.

You will mentor junior engineers, apply data-driven decision making, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality medical devices on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering work experience (3+ years with a related Master's degree) with 3-D CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support high-quality disposable and/or capital medical products for surgical procedures.
• Execute multiple phases of the product development lifecycle, including design, development, verification, validation, and manufacturing activities per medical device standards.
• Perform design analyses including calculations, materials selection, tolerance analyses, and risk assessment.
• Develop and execute test protocols, analyze results, and author technical reports with minimal guidance.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
