Job summary

Fire Solutions, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create detailed sprinkler system drawings for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will plan, coordinate with the project team, and prepare material stock lists while ensuring designs meet client specifications and codes.

You will use AutoCAD or HydraCAD to develop final representations and support on-site installations, with opportunities for career growth in a growing, union-friendly firm.

Qualifications

• NICET certification is required. Either "In Training", or NICET Level I, II, III, or IV certified.
• Experience with AutoCAD and HydraCAD or similar fire sprinkler layout software.
• Three years of experience in commercial, industrial, and residential fire sprinkler design.

Responsibilities

• Review construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and General Contractor/owner to gather required information to design the project’s sprinkler system.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and analyze system feasibility.
• Conduct job site surveys and coordinate system designs with architects and contractors.
• Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD or HydraCAD; develop material stock lists with suppliers.
• Ensure progress aligns with schedules and budgetary guidelines; report to owner/GC on progress and modifications.
