Job summary

Fire Fighter Sales and Service Co. is seeking a Sprinkler Designer I to plan and layout fire sprinkler systems. You will interpret drawings, perform hydraulic calculations, and ensure NFPA-compliant designs.

You’ll coordinate with structural, architectural, and mechanical teams to integrate piping layouts and validate water supply through field checks. The role requires 2–5 years of related experience and proficiency with HydraCAD, AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, drafting, fire protection technology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on fire sprinkler design experience preferred.
• NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using HydraCAD and related tools.
• Read and interpret construction drawings applying NFPA codes and local standards.
• Coordinate sprinkler piping layouts with structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system functionality and compliance.
• Conduct on-site field checks to verify dimensions and installations.
• Prepare material stock listings and manage procurement for timely installations.
• Attend job site meetings and support project schedules and budgets.
• Compile as-built drawings and create an O&M manual for turnover.
