Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Compressor CAD Product Designer to create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation for centrifugal, screw, and recip compressor products. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Program teams to deliver precise design solutions.

The role supports both new product development and sustaining engineering activities, ensuring designs meet standards, manufacturability, and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of experience in an engineering environment, OR Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 3+ years of experience in an engineering environment.
• 3+ years experience in product development workflows and release processes.
• 3+ years experience with CAD modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and product documentation using Creo and related design tools.
• Develop detailed models, design drawings (including GD&T), bills of materials, and specifications for compressor assemblies and subassemblies.
• Support engineering change workflows including documentation updates and release activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program teams to resolve design and integration issues.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to support project objectives and design quality.
• Track assigned project activities and communicate design status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Contribute technical knowledge and support project execution while working under general guidance on short to medium term assignments.
• Participate in Carrier process improvement initiatives, including standard work creation and improvement, and other continuous improvement activities.
