Under Armour, Inc. in Baltimore is seeking a Prototyping Specialist to own end-to-end garment prototype execution at our Lighthouse Innovation Center. You will interpret design concepts and engineer them into functional prototypes using state-of-the-art sewing equipment.

The role emphasizes independence, strong sewing expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver performance-driven apparel for athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years related experience or Master’s degree without experience or typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge and mastery of sewing techniques using industrial (high-speed) equipment.
• Experience in the sports apparel industry.
• Effective independent judgment, as role requires continuous independent judgment and the exercise of technical and artistic discretion.
• Good time management skills and able to manage time to handle multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Execute concepts utilizing equipment with manual and automatic controls to produce garment prototypes.
• Evaluate design sketches and determine best method to create garment concepts.
• Ideate and create original concepts to meet athletes’ needs.
• Analyze sewing methods to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality.
• Interact cross-functionally with Designers, Engineers, and Managers with technical input.
