Job summary

College of Lake County is seeking adjunct faculty for Community & Workforce Education across multiple campuses. Instructors develop curriculum and teach classes for adult learners, including industry professionals and subject-matter experts. Prior teaching is not required for all opportunities.

Courses may be delivered in person, live online via Zoom, asynchronously online, or hybrid, with flexible scheduling across the Grayslake, Vernon Hills, Waukegan, Braeloch, and other Lake County sites.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated subject-matter knowledge or expertise.
• Ability to communicate clearly to adult learners.
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse adult learners.
• Able to complete required background checks.
• Familiar with instructional tech including Canvas and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach assigned subjects and levels.
• Fulfill administrative requirements, meet deadlines and complete training.
• Remain current with required compliance training (Title IX, Clery).
• Follow college and department policies and procedures.
