College of Lake County (CLC) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in Community & Workforce Education. We seek innovative instructors to develop curricula and teach classes for adult learners, including industry professionals and subject matter experts.

Prior classroom teaching is not required for all opportunities, and opportunities may be for current or future needs. Schedules vary and may include daytime, evenings, and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated subject-matter knowledge or expertise relevant to instruction.
• Ability to communicate clearly to adult learners with varying experience.
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches for diverse learners, including those needing extra guidance.
• Must complete required background checks and other employment requirements.
• Proficiency with instructional technologies used in instruction (Outlook, Canvas, Zoom).

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach assigned subjects and levels within new or existing programs.
• Fulfill administrative requirements, meet deadlines, and complete required training.
• Remain current with required compliance training (Title IX, Clery Act).
• Follow applicable College and department policies and procedures.
