Job summary

Tyson Foods seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support project management and innovation efforts across the Innovation Pipeline. This entry-level role partners with cross-functional teams to plan execution and help achieve corporate growth and product performance goals.

You will contribute to developing project plans, coordinating stakeholders, and applying standard project-management practices to multiple projects while gaining exposure to branding, packaging, and product development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, food science, marketing or related discipline preferred.
• Formal certification in Project Management preferred.
• 1 year of relevant project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving volume and profit objectives for assigned categories reflecting overall corporate goals.
• Building and deploying project plans with clearly outlined objectives, timing, and risks.
• Communicating and aligning key resources at all levels of the organization on assigned projects.
• Engage with cross-functional teams for assigned projects which will include conducting meetings to ensure alignment.
• Exercise fundamental, sound project management techniques and workflow processes when executing assigned projects.
• Focus on updating specs for branded and private label projects to include setting up timelines, coordination of tasks which include packaging/ingredient runouts, communicating and conducting calls with stakeholders, risk assessments and delivering projects on time.
• May assist and lead smaller-scope projects independently.
